Music centre open morning and concert

Leighton Linslade Music Centre is having an open morning followed by Easter concert on Saturday at Vandyke Upper School.

The end of term celebrations start at 9.30am with an open morning where the public is welcome to pop into the classes and chat to staff and pupils.

There will be an opportunity to sit and listen for a while then move on to watch another activity.
After a break for refreshments the more formal concert in the theatre will start at 11am featuring music from the concert band, African drummers, guitar groups, singers, folk group and orchestra.

There is no charge for admission but there will be a retiring collection in support of Oxjam. The event finishes at 12.30pm.

A spokesman for the music centre said: "You may have heard musicians from the music centre recently singing at the start of the hugely successful James Goff concert at the Library Theatre or performing at the bottom of the high street in support of the Oxjam festival. Why not come and meet them in their home at Vandyke Upper School on Saturday?
