About Us

Established as a registered charity in 1971, FBYM principally supports the work of the Bedfordshire Music Trust and the music hub of Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Borough of Luton, together with Milton Keynes (BLMK Music Hub), in promoting and sustaining musical performance by the young people of Bedfordshire and the local area.

What does FBYM do?

The work of FBYM includes:

• Providing financial assistance to the families of children and young people, so that they can take part in the Music Courses and other educational events.
• Supporting the provision of specialist instruments and music for recognised Orchestras, Bands, Choirs and other ensembles
• Sponsoring extra curricular music events for children in schools.
• Raising money from subscription, individual giving, trusts and foundations.
• Organising stewarding at concerts
