Concert Band

Entry to the 1st Band is through audition only, among members of the 2nd Band, 2nd Orchestra, and the Youth Orchestra. Auditions take place two or three times a year, with the entry standard being approximately grade seven or eight. In order to create a flow of students through the orchestra system it has become the norm for members to gracefully retire from the 1st Band during their 21st year.

In summer 2004 the Band went on tour to Vienna and Salzburg in Austria.
